Dr.Gregory A. Rivera graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, New Jersey in 1989, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering. Prior to college, he served in the United States Navy from 1981 to 1984. He is veteran who served with the 6th fleet command ship USS Puget Sound AD38. He then entered and graduated the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1997 earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. He then completed a two-year residency at F.D.R. Montrose V.A. Hospital with rotations at Keller Army Hospital West Point, Hospital of Special Surgery and the Bronx V.A. Hospital. Dr. Rivera then became a Fellow of the Academy of Ambulatory Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Then went on to become a Fellow of the Dellon Institute for Peripheral Nerve Surgery John Hopkins School of Medicine Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Rivera Is a leader and Pioneer in the field of Critical Limb Salvage.

He is also Board Eligible in Podiatric Orthopedics. He is an active member of the Academy of Ambulatory Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is an author who has been published in the Journal of Podiatric Medical Review. His most recent paper was called “An overview of laser medical technology.” He has lectured internationally on podiatric topics including common foot and ankle problems and special surgical techniques utilized in the foot in a minimally invasive manner. He has taught and performed surgery for the needy in Mexico and Spain. He is bilingual and he speaks and writes English and Spanish fluently. Dr. Rivera has been interviewed on Channel 41 Univision and has a TV program on cable where he gives information on a Variety of topics of health and Wellness.

He is presently on staff at NYU Langone Medical Center, New York, New York and Previously at Mount Sinai Hospital and New York Presbyterian Medical Center, The University of Columbia and Cornell, Presbyterian Hospital Services Organization. Dr. Rivera maintains his private practice in Manhattan, New York City.
